Assignment 0.1 Introduceyourself 10 points     DUE by 8/20

Go to our Moodle page and locate the link to Assignment 0.1.  In the box provided, please introduce yourself to the class - start by telling  me your preferred name and just a few things about yourself (50 words). For example you can include things like where you’re from, your major, your hobbies, your pets – nothing too personal because your information will appear on the "Our Class" section of the webpage.

Assignment 0.2 Our Class 10 points     DUE  by 8/20

 

I want to post a picture of everyone in the class on the “Our Class” page of the website.  Rather than using real photos, I want you to create an Avatar of yourself so that we can put a “face” with your name. If you already have an avatar in .jpeg format you can submit it.... OR you can click on the button below to go to:  http://avachara.com/portrait/.  This is a free website that allows you to create an avatar of yourself.  You can create an avatar that really looks kind of like you – or you can re-create yourself in any way that you like.  When you are satisfied with your avatar, save it to your desktop as a .jpeg or png file  and then go to our Moodle page and drop the jpeg  or png file you saved in the submission box for Assignment 0.2.  I will post your avatar, along with the personal information you mentioned in Assignment O.1, in the “Our Class” section of the class website.  Be sure to check it out next week so you can “meet” your fellow classmates.
