In the early years of Indian History, the art and religion were closely intertwined. The two major influences on the art and architecture were the Hindu and the Buddhist religions. Your assignment this week is to watch these two 30 minute videos about these two influential religions to learn how they influenced Indian Art. HINT: As you watch the videos think about how the two religions are different from each other and how these differences manifest themselves in the way their sacred images are portrayed. When you have watched both videos, go to "Unit 1: Assignment 1.2" and test your ability to determine if an image is Hindu or Buddhist.

*I will accept late assignments for Unit One until 11:45 pm on Sunday, September 22 with a late penalty/ assignment. The Unit closes on 9/22
