Assignment 2.8  Spotlighting an Artist   10 points  Pace yourself - turn in two assignments /week. Due 10/15 (11:45 pm) for full credit

Above you will find slideshow highlighting 25 modern Chinese artists.  Click on the "Link to article" button and take a closer look at all of the artists. Once you open the article,you can  click on their name - not on the image to see more of the artists work,!   Pick One artist that you would like to learn more about.  Using the assignment 2.8 template below, create a power point presentation about the artist you have chosen.  The powerpoint should begin with your name and the name of the artist, then include slides with: biographical information about the artist, a quote or artists statement by or about the artist (and a picture if the artist if you can find one) and must contain at least 6 examples of art created by your chosen artist. Each art slide should contain information about the piece (title, date, material). On the final slide I would like you to include your observation about how the artists work shows (or doesn't show) the artistic traditions of Chinese art. You will be able to find information for your presentation by googling the artist.  Turn your presentation in using the link to Assignment 2.8 on our class Moodle page.  I will accept late assignments for Unit Two until 11:45 pm on Sunday, Oct. 22nd with a late penalty/late assignment. The Unit closes on 10/22
