Assignment 1.5 Visual Analysis 15 points Pace yourself - complete 2 assignments/week. Last due date for full credit is 9/15* (11:45 pm)

Today we looked at the art produced during the Gupta Empire. Your assignment is to take a very close look at these two artifacts from the Gupta period. When you have examined them closely, you will write a Visual Analysis of ONE of these artifacts.. Essentially I want you to look closely at the object, examining and describing each part. This assignment requires no outside sources, background information or interpretative commentary - it simply requires that you look very closely at the object and describe it in detail. Your visual analysis should be 150 - 175 words. I encourage you to watch the lecture video before you attempt this assignment because I talk about how to do a visual analysis in the lecture. I have put a link above to an example of a visual analysis so you can get a feel for how to do one. Do not include the image in your essay - just the title. Once you are happy with your essay, go to our Moodle page and use the Turnitin link under Assignment 1.5 to turn in your essay.
*I will accept late assignments for Unit One until 11:45 pm on Sunday, September 22 with a late penalty/ assignment. The Unit closes on 9/22
