Because the book I'd like to use with this class is out of print, it has become increasingly hard to obtain.  For that reason I've decided not to require a textbook for the course.  Art textbooks are generally very expensive and since many of my students are not art majors, it seems unfair to require you to purchase and expensive text that you will never use again.  That said, I would like to recommend that IF you are very interested in Pre-Columbian art, you might want to look for this book.  It is available on the used book market (Amazon, Textbook.com) for just a few dollars.
